Meet Mr. Damon

Damon Young is the creator and performer behind Mr. Damon's Shadow Puppets. He presents interactive performances and educational programs that bring together puppetry, theater, storytelling, music, science, culture, and creativity.

Damon received a Jim Henson Foundation grant for the development of contemporary puppet theater. His professional work includes creating and performing shadow puppet sequences for Marvel's Hawkeye on Disney+, appearing as a regular guest performer at Dragon Con, and creating shadow puppetry for a Great Wolf Lodge tv commercial.

He is a Lead Teaching Artist at the Center for Puppetry Arts, a member of the Georgia Council for the Arts Teaching Artists Registry, and a GCA STEAM-Ready teaching artist.

Mr. Damon's programs invite audiences to imagine, laugh, collaborate, and discover what can happen when light, objects, and creativity come together.
